Ukraine’s largest gas producer Burisma, via its subsidiary Energy service company Esco-Pivnich, earlier today announced the expansion its gas processing facility at Karaykozivske field (Kharkiv region) worth over UAH 100 million. This announcement comes close after the company approved its UAH 3 billion-investment strategy to advance domestic gas production for the benefit of the Ukrainian people.
“We are ready to launch three new wells at the Karaykozivske field, and another three are on the way. We are also planning to put into operation a second methanol recovery unit that will enable methanol recovery of almost 85%. This will allow us to raise production figures by 5.5 times and extraction rates from 300 thousand to 1.5 million cubic meters of gas per day by the end of 2017”, noted the CEO for Ukrainian Operations at Burisma Taras Burdeinyi.
According to him, the company also designed and launched an LPG production unit, and is planning to launch a non-waste gas production facility with a sealed gathering system to eliminate gas emissions. In addition, Burisma will increase its tank storage capacity up to 1,5 thousand cubic meters.
