In particular, the project included renovation of rural and village councils and churches, and construction of playgrounds for children. The total investment costs at the first stage amounted to approximately UAH 3,5 mln.

The second stage involves road construction in the villages of the Kharkiv region, where “ESCO-PIVNICH” production facilities are located. The project is expected to last for a couple of months with the investment costs exceeding UAH 6,5 mln.

“ESCO-PIVNICH” and Burisma believe that investing in social sector and in communities development, where the production facilities are located, is a fundamental element of the corporate policy.  The only way to count on team efficiency for a successful business strategy implementation is through staff competency development and by providing it with safe and comfortable working and living conditions”, noted CEO for Ukrainian operations of Burisma Taras Burdeinyi.

Taras Burdeinyi highlighted that under any conditions and despite the difficult macroeconomic situation, the company has committed itself to fully finance planned activities for the current year in terms of socio-economic development. At the same time, “ESCO-PIVNICH”, being a socially responsible company, transfers all tax payments in full to the budgets of all levels.

According to the State Fiscal Service, as for the first quarter of 2016, the company is ranked among 20 largest industrial taxpayers in Ukraine. Over the past two years, the total payments to the consolidated budget of Burisma companies amounted to more than UAH 5 bln.

“ESCO-PIVNICH” and the international energy group Burisma plan to help small towns and villages restore their important social facilities, including roads, schools, hospitals as well as community infrastructure, and support them to make a difference in the communities where Group companies operate by ensuring decent living conditions for their residents”, added Taras Burdeinyi.

Already next year social programs will also cover other regions of Ukraine.
